How to Write Comedy

One of my favorite idioms is “you can’t make this shit up”
Comedian Vic Dibitetto takes that one step further in his set this week. If you want to write comedy this is inspiration gold, not only watch this guy do his bit while grooming but watch the crowd — that’s where the gold is… in ‘oh no you didn’t moments’ — those moments are what you strive for as a writer. Because never forget you are not only writing for your audience, you’re writing for the audience within your story — their reaction is what will elevate your audience’s reaction.
